What is AWO Medical oxygen used for?
– To treat or prevent sudden or long-term, persistent oxygen deficiency
– As part of a gas mixture during anaesthesia and intensive care
– As a propellant for other inhaled drugs (in nebuliser therapy)
– For the treatment of sudden serial headache attacks (so-called Horton’s headache)
– In hyperbaric therapy to reduce vascular damage caused by gas or air bubbles in the blood vessels due to scuba diving or other causes
– Treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning

In addition to other treatments (including medical and surgical treatment)
– Treatment of gaseous enterocolitis
– Treatment of bacterial infections causing soft tissue necrosis
– Treatment of poorly healing (foot)wounds in diabetics
