Medical gas means a gas or gas mixture classified as a medicinal product, the use of which is based on a pharmacological action, and which is intended to be administered to a patient for therapeutic, diagnostic or prophylactic purposes.
Pharmaceutical gases are manufactured in the pharmaceutical plant in accordance with EU GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations and analysed in accordance with the European Pharmacopoeia. The distribution of pharmaceutical gases follows GDP (Good Distribution Practice) guidelines.
